Notes from ISA
ISA was held in Orlando on March 22, 23 and 24, with record crowds and great enthusiasm. Wide format continues to out-pace other segments of the graphics industry. And innovation continues to help drive this growth.
New and Innovative Technologies
The Athens team was there, and we were impressed with the interest generated by innovative products from major vendors. HP continues to lead the way, with upgrades to some of their existing equipment and a lot of buzz about their soon to be announced new flatbed technology.
Athens is also a distributor for Summa Flatbed Cutters. Their 1612 model has a smaller footprint and upgraded router. It also provides printers with tremendous versatility in flexible roll cutting capabilities.
Arlon had a large crowd observing the installation speed advantage in their new vehicle wrap media. We talked to several customers who are interested in the lines we carry for liquid laminators. Leaving the show, we came away confident that 2018 will be another solid growth year for wide format. With our deep expertise in equipment and substrates, Athens is ready to support customers who want to grow in this area.
